While Pioneer Square is a great place to live, it is not exempt from the rising and drug and alcohol addiction rates that plague Seattle. Currently, Seattle is doing as much as it can to keep drug and alcohol addiction rates low. There are many federal and state-funded programs that help those who have fall victim to drug or alcohol abuse. There are also many campaigns that are aimed at preventing alcohol and drug abuse.
Substance abusers looking to get sober and to put their addiction behind them will need professional help. Detoxing at home may lead to many complications. There are many different addiction resources found in Pioneer Square that can help addicts turn their lives back around.
To avoid overwhelming and intense withdrawal symptoms, try a comprehensive substance abuse treatment plan from a drug or alcohol rehab center. When searching for options, most substance abusers will find that there’s a lot of variety. Different drug and alcohol treatment centers specialize in different areas of recovery. AA meetings are free to join. There is no fee involved with going to a meeting. Anyone can walk into a meeting and start participating. Most addiction specialists and therapists recommend going to at least one meeting a week.
