For those in need of alcohol and drug addiction recovery resources, the Omak, WA area offers many options. The majority of people may need to go through professional treatment, which includes both detox and rehab. But this is not the case for everyone.
Some people may be more at ease with the thought of attending Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Families can also get the support they need by going to Al-Anon and Alateen meetings.

Narcotics Anonymous
There are several Omak area NA meeting that people can choose to attend. Like AA, NA meetings require no form of payment for either attending or becoming a member.
Narcotics Anonymous is there to help anyone with any type of addiction. Some alcoholics even prefer it over AA. They follow a 12-Step program that is slightly different, but it has been shown to be powerfully effective.

The Benefits of Professional Addiction Treatment
Even though attending AA and/or NA meetings can be helpful, they may not be the best solutions for everyone. Some people need the professional treatment that only a drug and alcohol rehab can provide.
Recovering from an addiction – especially if it is the first time a person has ever gotten help – can be extremely difficult.
