Both Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous can be very helpful for someone who is in recovery. There are also ways for families and loved ones to get support through Al-Anon and Alateen.
Though we are not affiliated with these organizations, we know that they have been beneficial to so many people. We have included them in our guide to addiction recovery resources in the Moxee area.
Alcoholics Anonymous has been providing their services to people for close to a century. They offer peer support groups that are based on the 12 Steps of recovery. They do not charge any fees for membership or for participation in meetings.
Going to AA meetings in the Moxee area can be so helpful for someone who is struggling with alcoholism. They can find the support they need from others who understand what they are going through.

When a family member is battling an addiction, it can be very difficult to cope. So many families crumble because they simply do not know how to get help for their loved one. They may not know how to deal with the emotional pain they feel, and they can often become isolated.
Al-Anon and Alateen meetings are there to give them somewhere to turn. There are many of these meetings being held in the Moxee area every week.

Our closest treatment program and facility to the Moxee area is Northpoint Washington, which is located in Edmonds. It is only 2 hours and 45 minutes away by car.
We offer one of the best drug rehab programs in the region, as well as a number of essential recovery services.
The right drug treatment program can mean the difference between a successful recovery and ongoing relapses. Many rehabs – including Northpoint Washington – offer both detox and rehabilitation under the same roof. That makes it very convenient for people to get the help that they need all in one place.
Drug detox is often essential for different types of addictions. For example, people who are addicted to heroin, opioids, benzodiazepines and stimulants should go through the detoxification process. It will help them with their withdrawal symptoms and allow them to feel better faster. It can also shorten the duration of withdrawal.
Afterwards, rehab will help with the mental part of the addiction, and any co-occurring disorders will be addressed and treated.
Likewise, alcohol detox and rehab are often necessary for someone to stop drinking safely. The detoxification process helps because it addresses withdrawal symptoms.
When a person stops drinking, they can be at risk for delirium tremens, or DTs. This is a potentially fatal condition if it is left untreated. The right treatment can stop it from occurring at all and make recovering much easier on the individual.
After detoxing, rehab is highly recommended because it is important to address the reasons for the addiction. If the person decides to skip this step, all of the reasons they started drinking in the first place will still be there, and they will probably relapse.
Taking the first step to ask for help is often the hardest when a person needs to recover from an addiction. It can be a challenge, but once you do, you will find that it was the best decision you could have made.
