Eastlake, Washington is a very small neighborhood in Seattle. Its name comes from the fact that its main street is Eastlake Avenue and from the fact that it is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Union. Despite being a small neighborhood, the community here is very organized and active. Many residents in this area attend the University of Washington, as there are many bus routes that go straight there.
This city is close to the water and to many major cities. This means that it’s easy for drugs and alcohol to find its way to Eastlake.
Much like with the rest of Seattle, Eastlake has a drug and alcohol abuse problem that can only be corrected with proactive action from the community. Those who struggle with an addiction should look for Eastlake addiction resources that can help them overcome an addiction and lead a healthy lifestyle once again.
Taking the time to fully understand the amenities and features that each drug and alcohol treatment center is very important. There are many questions that addicts should ask before they make their decision. The difference between a good and bad rehab facility could completely transform their lives.
One of the main things that substance abusers should consider is the level of care that they need. The amount of attention and supervision that they get may depend on the severity of their addiction and what their insurance plan covers. There are two main levels of care:
There is one primary rehab center in Eastlake, Washington. This drug and alcohol treatment center offers multi-tiered, comprehensive treatment programs, from inpatient treatment to outpatient treatment. It also offers medical detox and more.
Completing an addiction treatment program is the first step that an addict should take to get sober. To maintain that sobriety, recovering addicts need to find peer support from the community. The easiest and simplest way of doing so is to go to support groups at least once a week. These support groups give them a place to talk about their issues and open up. They’ll help them feel less alone.
There are faith-based and science-based recovery meetings. Take a look at some of the options below to see what’s available.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings have a lot of history. They were founded in 1935, and have effectively helped millions of alcoholics around the world stay sober. These meetings are free to attend. Members only need to have one thing: a desire to stop drinking. AA meetings are faith-based. They are one of the first 12-step programs to emerge.
