Here’s what our process looks like in case you would like to prepare your submission in advance.
At Northpoint Washington we believe in the hope for a better tomorrow. In this great country of ours, there are several ways to push forward with integrity and create a rich, fulfilling life. One of the most important ways one can achieve this is through education. The act of enriching oneself through study and the possibility to use your knowledge to help others is part of why our Northpoint staff is here to help you. We want to help you help others. It is for this reason that we offer a $1,000 scholarship for students attending a two or four-year university program.
Applicants are asked to prepare a 500 - 1,000-word essay detailing the ways in which you have helped yourself or others in the face of drug or alcohol addiction.
Submissions must include your full name, age, phone number, address, and the name of the university you attend. By submitting your essay and information you give us express consent to confirm your admission and attendance at your college or university.
Send an email including the above information, your essay, and a copy of your transcript to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Last Name, First Name - Northpoint Washington Scholarship.

Northpoint Washington is seeking applications from current students in the United States who:
Applications are accepted from January 1 - November 1. Any application received after the November 1 deadline will not be accepted.
The winner of the Northpoint Washington College Scholarship will be announced on December 1. Scholarship money will be sent via mail by check.
By submitting an application to Northpoint Washington you certify that all the information you have provided is accurate and complete. You agree to transfer all rights and ownership of your essay and all submitted information to Northpoint Washington, whether or not you are selected as a winner. You also agree that your name, essay, and award amount may be used on our website, through announcements, or articles (i.e. social media, newsletter, etc) issued by Northpoint Washington. If you would like to remain anonymous whenever Northpoint Washington publishes your essay you must request this in your initial submission.
The selection of winners is entirely at the discretion of Northpoint Washington. Winners will be contacted via the email address that was used to submit the application.
