AA Thought for the Day: "If drinking is interfering with your work, you're probably a heavy drinker. If work is interfering with your drinking, you're probably an alcohol."
Alcoholics Anonymous is sometimes referred to as AA meetings. These meetings are designed to offer help to those who are struggling with addictions to alcohol. Both men and women attend AA meetings, and this is the perfect place to share how you're feeling, the challenges you're facing, and the issues that led to your addiction. For participants who frequent AA, 12 Steps are discussed as a way to progressively advance through recovery from alcoholism. The main goal of AA meetings is to assist alcoholics to recover from their addictions.
If you're looking for AA, Seattle, Washington has a lot of options that you can choose from. Although, you might not be sure about what you can expect when you attend open AA meetings; especially if you've never been to one before, or if you're thinking of attending a meeting that's new to you.
Alcoholics Anonymous has served more than two million recovering alcoholics all over the world. The people who serve at AA meetings are not doctors, nurses or professionals in the addiction treatment industry. Also, there are no dues or fees that need to be paid in order to participate.
