Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are two organizations that offer 12-Step recovery meetings. In addition, families can find support through Al-Anon and Alateen.
Please keep in mind that we are not affiliated with these programs in any way. But that does not mean that we do not support them and what they do. Our goal is to provide as much information as possible about the addiction recovery resources that are available in the Mattawa area.
Alcoholics Anonymous is an organization that offers 12-Step recovery meetings for alcoholics. Some of the meetings are open, which means anyone can attend; even family members. Others are closed, which means only those in recovery are allowed to attend.
There are many AA meetings that take place in the Mattawa area every week. It should be easy to find one that is the right fit.

Narcotics Anonymous also follows the 12-Step program of recovery, although theirs is slightly different from AA. Even so, attending Mattawa area NA meetings allows people to talk with a group of their peers about their challenges. This can be extremely helpful because it demonstrates the fact that they are not alone in their struggles.
There are several NA meetings that are taking place in the Mattawa area each week.

When a person suffers with an addiction to drugs or alcohol, the family usually bears the brunt of it. They often spend countless hours worrying about the individual, wondering how they can get them to seek help. Many times, they have no one to turn to.
Attending Al-Anon and Alateen meetings can be so helpful, and there are many of them that take place in the Mattawa area. These meetings introduce people to others who are facing similar challenges in their own lives. They also instruct on addiction and help to teach valuable coping skills.

At this time, there are no Alateen meetings being offered within 100 miles of the Mattawa area. But that does not mean that young people are not able to get the help and support they need.
Everyone is welcome to attend any Al-Anon meeting, regardless of their age. Also, there are Alateen meetings that are available online. Anyone between the ages of 13 and 18 can register for the chat sessions, which are held all throughout the week.
Northpoint Washington in Edmonds is our closest treatment facility to the Mattawa area. It is located about 2 hours and 45 minutes away by car.
Our drug rehab program is among the best in the region. We have been able to help so many people who were battling both drug and alcohol addictions.
Recovering from alcoholism can be extremely hard; not to mention potentially dangerous. Alcoholics who stop drinking abruptly, and without treatment, run the risk of delirium tremens. This is something that most people are not aware of, and it can be a potentially deadly condition.
Alcohol detox is an absolute necessity for most people who are diagnosed with alcohol use disorder. It allows them to take medications to help with their symptoms if they go through medical detox. Afterwards, they will be ready to move on to rehab.
Many drug rehab programs offer detoxification services as well as rehabilitation services. That is essential for many types of addictions, including stimulants, opioids, heroin and benzodiazepines.
It is so important to treat the entire addiction, which means addressing both the physical and psychological aspects. Otherwise, the person is very likely to relapse, which could potentially lead to an overdose.
Addiction recovery is possible with the right support. We hope we have given you all the information you need to make the right decision about your own recovery. We want you to know that we are here to help you in any way that we can. Please contact us to learn more about your options.
Our admissions coordinators are here to help you get started with treatment the right way. They'll verify your health insurance, help set up travel arrangements, and make sure your transition into treatment is smooth and hassle-free.
